Music to write poetry to

Inspiration comes in all forms. Music drives a rhythm that eventually settles into a groove. The beginning notes remind one of a time past, walks walked, and pain felt. Some changes in a song bring friends and a Navajo rug stitched pattern often of trauma, joy, and acceptance. For me the greatest music to listen to is Steely Dan, Tom Waits, Earth Wind and Fire, Motown, Yo Yo Mah, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Norah Jones, Electric Light Orchestra, Traffic, the Stones, and the Beatles.

These are my jams, my memories, and my inspiration.
